BLOG
Have a look through my blog posts at some recent shoots for a spot of inspiration, some tips or to have a look at what you can expect from one of my shoots.
Road Trip {Devon Family Photography}
A couple of years ago (pre-covid!) one of my closest friends asked me to come and do a family photoshoot with her and and her gorgeous brood down in Devon. It didn’t take me long to say yes, yes, yes! I don’t get to see her often so not only was it lovely to visit but I also got to capture her ‘not-so’ little boys growing up.
Family Fun {Surbiton Family Photography}
It is always fun to split your family photo shoot between your home and local park or outdoor space. We then get to capture memories both inside and out. Playing at home with their toys and in their familiar surroundings relaxes the children but then we also get to have fun in the park too.
Peace Family {New Malden Photography}
This blog is a throwback to a local New Malden family photoshoot I did a few years ago (this is how behind I am!!) with a lovely family of four. Being parents to boys, our house is also consumed by dinosaurs, Paw Patrol and LOTS of cars. Don’t be afraid of winter family photoshoots; this gives us the chance to do a gorgeous in-home session plus wrap up warm and venture out into the garden or local park.
Cousin Fun {Surrey Family Photography}
I had so much fun on this shoot. I was asked to capture some pictures of a big group of cousins for a very much loved Nan. It is near impossible to get 8 young children to pose together for that magic photo so I concentrated on capturing the crazy, fun happenings when this lovely family get together.
Newborn {London Family Photography}
Isla was only 10 days old for this shoot and she was a dream. She was in her cute, sleepy state for the most part and her older brother Theo clearly loved her, lots of kisses and cuddles.
Woodland Wander {West Sussex Family Photography}
This was definitely one of my favourite shoots, I felt very lucky to do what I do. They are such a beautiful family and the children were great characters. We went for a wander in their local woodland and the sun shone. It was so nice to get out and about, enjoy the outdoors and watch the children roam.
Lockdown Easing (2020)
Lockdown continues but we are now entering the next crucial phase; the relaxtion and easing of some of the rules. This has been a bittersweet feeling for me.
Lockdown Birthday (2020)
And just like that he turned 3. Let the lockdown birthday celebrations begin. Luckily for him, he’s too young to realise only Mummy, Daddy and his big brother turned up to his party! He didn’t care, he loved it.
Lockdown - The New Normal (2020)
I write this a few hours before Boris Johnson is about to update us on any potential easing of the lockdown. I’ve actually forgotten how many weeks into the lockdown we actually are. Is it 7 weeks? I know it feels like an eternity since the schools shut. This has become our new normal.
Lockdown Continues (2020)
And so lockdown continues. Our new life is strangely becoming normal now. We have settled into our new routine and have adjusted to our new expectations.
Lockdown Begins (2020)
And so it begins. Lockdown in the UK started towards the end of March 2020. Being a family photographer I can easily capture this special time that we find ourselves in and I hope to look back on these images in years to come with fond memories.
