BLOG
Have a look through my blog posts at some recent shoots for a spot of inspiration, some tips or to have a look at what you can expect from one of my shoots.
Super Mums
I loved putting this blog together. I know it takes a village to raise a child but this Mother’s Day here in the UK I wanted to celebrate all of the super mums out there who do an amazing job day in and day out. Here are a few of my favourite images from the past year of mums with their children, young and old.
Behind The Scenes {London Branding Photography}
I bloody loved this shoot. This behind-the-scenes branding photoshoot in Holborn Studios, London with Yard B was a step away from my usual cosy, in-home family session but was an opportunity to revisit my old London stomping ground.
Baby Bump {London Maternity Photography}
Oh I do love a maternity photoshoot and especially when it involves one of my favourite people! This is the gorgeous Sarah a few days before her new little bundle of joy came into this world. Yes we had planned it so that she had a few weeks before the birth but oh no, her baby daughter had other ideas and wanted to meet her parents sooner rather later!
Richmond Park {Kingston Family Photography}
I love shooting in Richmond Park. I live really close by and every time I visit I still discover new places within the park. I feel very lucky to have such a beautiful open space nearby within London. Do you have a favourite outdoor space that you want to remember and create some more memories in?
Brotherly Love {Sevenoaks Family Photography}
Being a mum to two boys I completely understand the bond between two brothers. When I visited this gorgeous family in Sevenoaks a few years ago, it was clear how much the oldest son welcomed his new baby brother into the world.
Road Trip {Devon Family Photography}
A couple of years ago (pre-covid!) one of my closest friends asked me to come and do a family photoshoot with her and and her gorgeous brood down in Devon. It didn’t take me long to say yes, yes, yes! I don’t get to see her often so not only was it lovely to visit but I also got to capture her ‘not-so’ little boys growing up.
Family Fun {Surbiton Family Photography}
It is always fun to split your family photo shoot between your home and local park or outdoor space. We then get to capture memories both inside and out. Playing at home with their toys and in their familiar surroundings relaxes the children but then we also get to have fun in the park too.
Peace Family {New Malden Photography}
This blog is a throwback to a local New Malden family photoshoot I did a few years ago (this is how behind I am!!) with a lovely family of four. Being parents to boys, our house is also consumed by dinosaurs, Paw Patrol and LOTS of cars. Don’t be afraid of winter family photoshoots; this gives us the chance to do a gorgeous in-home session plus wrap up warm and venture out into the garden or local park.
Newborn Peace {Surrey newborn Photography}
This gorgeous little boy’s Surrey newborn photoshoot took place on his 1 week birthday. He was the sweetest thing and the youngest human being I know with so much hair! He was a dream to photograph. I love the look between the new parents of ‘Wow, did we really make this'?!’.
Bluebells {Surrey Family Photography}
A lot of my family shoots include babies and toddlers who let’s face it don’t have a clue what I’m doing and what the big contraption is in my hand that I follow them around with so it was lovely and refreshing to do this session in some Surrey woodland with slightly older children who were happy to perform for the camera.
Camping Fun {Sussex Family Photography}
During half term this year, we embarked upon a weekend of camping down on The Mac’s Farm in Sussex. It was brilliant on so many levels. Part of the joy of being a family photographer is that I get to capture my own family and friends’ memories along the way.
Girls, Girls, Girls {New Malden Family Photography}
I love in-home family photoshoots as I get to really spend time with a family and engage with the children. Sometimes children take a bit of warming up, some are raring to go as soon as you walk in the door.
Birthday Boy {Surbiton Family Photography}
This gorgeous boy had a photoshoot to mark his first birthday. In this new digital world, I think this is such a lovely idea. We are all too guilty of taking photos and then disregarding them straight away (myself included!).
Riverside {Kingston Family Photography}
In the Surrey and SW London area, we are spoilt for places to go to for outside location shoots. On this shoot, after a play at home we took a stroll down by the river.
